New Delhi, March 4: Since last 20 months more than 48 lakh government employees are eagerly waiting for an increase in a hike in minimum wage under 7th Pay Commission. The 7th Pay Commission promises one of the biggest salary hikes that government employees have ever seen and it has the scope of changing the lifestyle of government employees completely.
Millions of government employees have already got the good news, but there are millions of others who are waiting for the same to happen to them.
Government employees who are clearly disappointed, have been arguing for a 7th CPC based hike ever since it was first unveiled and cleared by the Centre.
The wait has been long and interminable especially for the employees of various state in India.
Meanwhile, state government employees in Odisha and Gujarat have received the good news recently.
Overall, two million employees in these two states will see their salaries soaring as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
Also PM Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, during the campaign for the assembly polls, had promised to implement the same if and when the party was elected to power.
This was one of the biggest promises made by the BJP leaders and that too at the highest levels.
