To accelerate its digital transformation journey, the firm has partnered with Google Cloud, according to an announcement released today.

Through this collaboration, Meesho looks to build an AI-first supplier experience, better user acquisition strategies and a personalized shopping experience for the next billion e-commerce users in the country.

This partnership is in addition to enhancing its need for multi cloud infrastructure to drive growth. Meesho has been getting cloud support from Amazon Web Services(AWS) already.

“Teaming up with Google Cloud is central to our strategic plan as we continue to innovate faster to meet the demands of the constantly changing e-commerce landscape. Through this partnership, we aim to deliver streamlined and reliable performance for merchants and consumers with reduced latency, even during peak times,” said Sanjeev Barnwal, founder and CTO, Meesho.

Also, the e-commerce firm is said to utilize Google Cloud to improve the efficiency of its data platform by optimizing transactional data and boosting productivity with real-time insights into buyers shopping activity, thereby enhancing customer experience. The company currently processes about 250,000 requests per second.

Working together, Google Cloud will further arm Meesho to advance its AI & ML capabilities across its value chain to augment Meesho’s business operations through enhancing demand forecasting and inventory optimization. This is said to enable further personalization of shopping experiences for a user base composed of about 50% new to e-commerce consumers.
