Anti-competitive, monopolistic and a felony in aiding e-commerce: Mobile retailers on Xiaomi’s offline strategy

The letter conflict between smartphone market chief Xiaomi and offline retailers has escalated.
Mobile handset retailers, in a response to Xiaomi India‘s current letter, has replied saying the smartphone firm’s method in direction of mainline retailers was anti-competitive, monopolistic, and a “felony in aiding e-commerce for flouting the laws of the land.”

AIMRA, the consultant physique of cellular retailers, stated that Xiaomi has undervalued the value of branding it has positioned at its offline companions.

Pathak stated, in Baby’s letter “there is much anguish and arrogance-…and less explanation towards 20,000 partners for not billing them new launches for weeks and later in piece meal and the reason for not billing any stocks to the rest of the country’s retailers.”


“We seriously fail to see or feel the so-called openness and conviction at your end to resolve the issues raised by us on behalf of mobile retailers of the country, which is damaging the retailers’ livelihood over the years,” he added.

Retailers alleged that within the title of offline growth, Xiaomi is just rising its Mi Home shops, that are getting the shares the identical day with on-line flash gross sales and that too on the similar value.
